Can a gif be used for your forum avatar? My avatar is a picture of the gif

Rename a gif image into .png and upload using facebook

Edit: You said profile picture. I though you meant gif gang picture. But why gif here?

Does your picture just lose the animation? Make sure the file is smaller than the standards.
