There may be a new town adding soon, can't tell what it's going to be though.
As for Gun Game, snk did try to fix the event to prevent lag. There was a GUI added asking whether you want to join the event or not. But the lag is still intense due to high amount of players.
A new map will be added in summer, as snk said in one of the Q & A sessions.
All of this has been addressed in previous threads, such as the one star provided. Please continue discussion there.
