As a huge music listener and have been playing in bands, I have always wanted to make my own music. I don't really like electronic music and I want to make music suited with more instruments that you would see in a rock/indie band. I own a windows computer and specs are not an issue. Also free/demo is a necessity as I am broke at the moment. So what program do you think would suit me?
Free is an issue, but if you want demos, I know FL Studio does demos well. I know, its an electronic studio, but if you have the recording equipment, or you can find Royalty Free sounds online, you can do it like that. I use FL, and I can give it credit for quality, but you are extremely limited to most actions when it comes down to the demo. Also it's damn hard to navigate and fully understand and control at first, so play around a bit I guess, whatever you see fit.
