Era's Casino could use these cool new features!

I think if Era had a better, more realistic casino, it could be am extremely cool feature and an awesome new way for players to try and make some money, or lose it lol. Let's face it, slot machines are boring. How about we get some actual, legit Vegas style blackjack, with the all the real rules. Make it so you can actually double down, split, and change the amount you want to bet before each hand. I'd also suggest a table limit of about 1k per bet, and a minimum bet of $10. I feel like iEra didn't put betflipping in their version because of some of the problems it caused on PC Era. Allowing people to gamble up to $5,000,000 on a few coin flips was a bit ridiculous. But I truly believe if it was done right, the Casino could be a very very fun place, and could also help drain some money out of the economy (which I think is what staff wants). But, for god's sake, make it so some people can actually make some decent money. Right now the Casino is a ghost town, there's absolutely NO reason for anyone to go there. My idea for what you could do for Blackjack is to have one player be the dealer, or "the house" basically. Then up to around 6 players could grab that table to play against the player who is the dealer. That way there wouldn't be money getting pumped into the economy from Casino NPCs. But let's face it, the house always wins in the end, so having NPC's being dealers could definitely drain money out of the economy. But I'll leave that decision up to staff. The other thing the Casino desperately needs is some realistic Texas Hold em' Poker, where players can actually play against other players, with an NPC dealer. There could be poker tables for up to 6 players, and poker tables for up to 10 players. You could even make it so before every hand $1 or $2 is taken out of the pot, to help take money out of the economy (if that's what staff wants). What do you all think!?

I think these ideas, although they are great could be hard to incorporate within the game, iEra is a child’s game, and games such as blackjack are a form of gambling which is not really appropriate for children’s games in my opinion.

I see what you mean. But it's not like it's real money, and they already have slot machines. If it's really going to bother people like that, then maybe put an age restriction on the Casino. But let's get real, iEra is full of guns, gangs, and all sorts of adult concepts.

Exactly, plus there already was blackjack for a little but. But it was extremely lame, you couldn't do anything except hit or stay. I think you could only hit one time to. Also, you were only allowed to bet $10, that was it.

I think when the casino was first released, people said they wanted to see more games like this. I think the issue was that this is a global game, and some countries have laws against gambling in games? Idk what countries have laws like this or any specifics, this is just what I heard a few years ago.

I don't think this would be a good idea since that would be classified as predatory gambling which is illegal in most countries. Like Gentu said, the majority of the player base are still considered children. Thats why Electronic Arts was in a lot of trouble earlier this year.

If there's a will there's a way. There has to be a way around any of the concerns or problems that could possibly be caused from implementing these ideas. If that's true, and there are countries that don't allow such things, then make it so any player who is from a country that doesn't allow gambling of virtual video game currency, not allowed in those rooms of the casino. That sounds so ridiculous though, I really don't think it's true that there are countries that have such laws, although it wouldn't surprise me. But the bottom line is, there's already a casino, with slot machines, so why not make the Casino better? I don't think scripting some blackjack and poker would be difficult either. Plus they still have betflipping on PC Era. It's just something I've always thought would be super fun, and a cool alternative for good poker and blackjack players to try and make some money, while at the same time slowing down any inflation of the economy. The Casino on PC Era did a great job of taking money out of the economy with betflipping, since players were betting against eachother, and the NPC was taking a small percentage of each flip. The only problem was that players could lose a fortune within minutes because they could essentially bet as much as they wanted and then when they'd lose, they'd say, "screw this game", cry, then quit. Which PC Era couldn't ever afford to lose players since it's player count was extremely low already, and was also dwindling because the server's staff was just terrible, almost non existent at some points. Actually, there's plenty of reasons PC Era is dead, those factors are just a small percentage.

PC era doesn't have microtransactions like iEra where you could spend real money on in game currency thats a key difference. Im not sure you know about this but years ago there was this CSGO skin lotto that got shut down by the federal trade comission because they didnt have a license for running a virtual casino. Another issue is the legal age for Gambling. Due to the addictive nature of gambling there is an age restriction for most big countries. Anything below the legal age (18-21 in most countries) would be considered predatory gambling. A law to prevent gambling addiction in most countries were created to prevent this. The majority of the player base is below the age of 18 so it won't bring much interaction to the casino.

That's actually a good point, I forgot for a second that people can spend real money for Era money. But as far as the thing about the CSGO lotto, isn't there a lotto on both iEra and PC Era?
