Eclipse SMG mode buff?

Is there any way we could get a buff for the SMG mode of Eclipse? Lets be honest it is VERY bad and the only time to ever use it is when you want to throw out the smoke grenade. 1 of 3 things needs to happen. 1. Aggressively buff SMG mode. 2. Rework SMG mode (my preferred option) or 3. Make the smoke grenade throwable in any mode. Personally i would just like to see SMG mode reworked into something more useful like a spectre or Distorion SMG or whatever its called from Plasma. Seriously, please do something to SMG.
