Your account does not get reset, you get a new one made on your PC for you to do your staff duties.

Yes, as Mystic said, you get a new account and get to keep your player account as well.
Yes Mystic is correct. Two separate accounts. That's why you see new staff members with low hours. Since you have two different accounts, your staff account will not have any friends from your iOS account.
