So did the staff stop accepting applications or did people stop submitting? Arte hasnt added new shops since it opened

Graphics, just like paint art, isn't something you'll learn and will become a great artist. No.
You can learn other people's technique, but if you really want to become great, it must be from the passion inside of you. If you decide to do graphics to become "cool" or to be noticed by players, it won't work like that.

Learn techniques, but don't draw from what you see on Halo or Google. Draw from what is inside your heart. Release the passion of pixel art in you.

I don't know if bf9 really did resign, but if he did.. I'm sorry to say, this project closed.
