Why not? They've given melees for VIP before. I actually have one, that old pirate dagger I think.

I doubt it unless it is a dreadful one.

The melees now were suppose to relate to theme.
Pirate dagger was first VIP melee item, due to release of pirate zone.
Followed by other theme.
Guns in era are easy to earn, no need to give them out specially.
