CRISPR, which stands for Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats, (pronounced as crisper) is tool used to edit the genetics of a human. Meaning that if the genes of a baby (still in the womb) states that he'll be prone to cancer or polio, it can be changed so he isn't prone to cancer or polio.

(However, there is also a more commercial use, for example, people can use it so when their babies come out, they're tall, strong, or anything else they may want.)
