You should be able to equip the gun to show off whatever skin you have for it. Maybe just disable the ability for it to actually shoot anywhere except multiplex.
The whole idea behind the cost, purchase and use of the multiplex gun is a joke, I feel like some of the big wigs in this game have down syndrome with their decision making and lack of.

Still think it should be able to be used outside of the Multiplex, it may impact the lower tier gun economy but it won't completely shut it down and it just doesn't sit right with me to limit a weapon to only one place.
