Hey, I would like to propose some valid arguments towards why GST should be delayed by a week. First of all, I don’t intend to offend anyone behind the scenes who worked hard for GST, incase it seems as though I’m undermining their endeavours. I truly appreciate the effort put in by the admins, but I am offering constructive criticism to improve the annual event.
Well, to start, I believe the amount of time taken to create and practice in house arenas that replicate the map (the main source of practice for GST) is underestimated. It takes at least 14 days to make good plans and practice those plans to find the perfect execution of it. Gangs have been preparing for GST all year, but we have just over a week to prepare for the map ? This is ludicrous.
In addition, practise sessions are very hard to arrange due to different timezones. As a result of this, the amount of full practise sessions teams can undergo will be very small. Therefore, the entire skill level of this year’s GST participates will be inadequate compared to other years- teams will be significantly underprepared. Inevitably, this will consequently result in a much less competitive GST, undermining the reputable skill of players assigned to the tournament.
Another reason for the delay is so that there is plenty of time to work on creating speed hack scripts. I suggest after each player’s Graal ID is given to the host, each individual participant has a script on them, so that they do not abuse anything even at the minimal speed hack speed, leading to a fairer GST, which we are hoping for. Multiplex is starting to be flooded with speed hackers and I’m certain you admins are aware of it, the number of speed hackers will unfortunately continue to increase as whoever is responsible hasn’t enforced much action to prevent it from happening. This delay may give you time to make these scripts or be able to think of an alternate method to prevent speed hack abusers.
Furthermore, due to the constricted time period, a Staff GST will be very unlikely. There are two benefits of a Staff GST: being able to identify errors in the map (such as the invisible player bug which occurred in GST 2018) as well as being general entertainment for people. Therefore, a potential calamity is prevented, as errors would have been identified and resolved. Additionally, a sense of excitement will grasp the community due to the taster of what GST will be like, resulting in an increased amount of viewers tuning in to watch the livestream. Whereas at the moment, the general hype for the event is quite low.
Once again, I am not aiming to belittle the admins responsible but instead, I would like to see improvements to the GST. The only way to achieve this improvement, is by delaying it for another week.

Once again, can’t take RPG serious.
Why you shouldn’t change the date if possible:
-Many players have made arrangements such as booking off work at part-time jobs to try and free up their schedule to play for 6+ hours.
-The date arranged is ideal for those in schools/colleges/universities. GST is usually no later than august, some players in education will be starting to return back to studying during mid-august earliest.
-Pushing it back by ONE WEEK does not give enough time for players to free up their schedule and find the time to play or watch the stream resulting in less participants and viewers.
IF GST MUST BE DELAYED:
-May there be a months notice so that even if players do go to schools or have a job they have enough time to either prepare or book off the day so that they can play or watch.
That’s really it, the people who work jobs and are preparing to go back to education will be heavily affected.
P.S.
Nobody watches the Staff GST, its really pointless. The stream doesn't cover the whole arena and the staff aren't nearly as organised as the players who will be participating (they also don't play to a high ability like GST participants lol sorry^_^). Last year players could enter the GST arena through an NPC inside multiplex to test out if bullets could go through walls, plans etc... so the Staff GST doesn’t matter and is a pointless reason to change the date. As long as the hosts and admins involved in creating the event/arena test it themselves- we do not need to see if it works ourselves.
In addition, the statement about teams have been preparing for GST all year round is uhh very exaggerated. i mean... unless RPG has been practicing that much... :crying_laughing_emoji: :crying_laughing_emoji:
The amount of time given to players to practice parts of the actual, official GST arena is a matter of opinion and preference. To me, 7 Days is a perfect length of time to get down every detail and perfect a strategy. It’s just a matter of preference; just because some people take longer than others to process things doesn't mean the whole event has to give more time for those less able in the head. :brainemoji:
Even if it’s not you, the dude has a few points.
-A months notice would be needed if delayed.
-The Staff GST isn’t important at all.
-And the fact that admins should decide how long we get to practice parts of the arena lol. that’s part of the competition. Doing it all in a set amount of time. IQ is a factor. lmao
Instead of arguing with people on here how about you explain to me why you were getting hit at practice today. I always tell you guys to not get hit dude, that’s the #1 rule. Curse under no circumstances accepts taking damage. From now on I expect higher quality work from you Mr. Rpg Tetris. Now get off the forums and fix up before you get sent to the gulag to 1v1 an angry Alejandro Russo for a sub spot.

Here are the final standings.
After reviewing reports and logs, there will be some changes to the gang spar standings. The gangs "Envy" and "Konoha" have been disqualified.
In Envy's case, there were many different videos and reports sent in, which matched what we were seeing in the logs. They had huge win streaks against teams that had 0 wins during the qualifiers and never played against other gangs. They also had significantly more 5-15 second long wins than all other gangs combined. The evidence was overwhelming and we felt we had to act on it.
Konoha got somewhere between 50-80% of their wins against gangs that were only feeding points. Even if we didn't disqualify them, they would hardly have any points left and would not qualify.
We have also gone through and removed points earned by beating gangs that were only feeding points. These were gangs that never earned wins during the entire qualifiers, and played exclusively against top ranked teams. Although there were other oddities in the logs, there was nothing we were confident enough to disqualify additional gangs for.

5. FLYgoons,58
6. RatHood,56
7. Wes,45
8. Valentino,26
9. Unlucky,17

After reviewing the base battle logs, there were some suspicious activities, but nothing we feel confident enough about to disqualify any gangs over. There were several gangs that played exclusively against top ranked gangs, however, and lost around 90% of their matches. Wins against these gangs have been removed from the final scores, which are:

If you're in the top 4 of these lists, expect to be contacted about playing in GST. If you're just outside the top 4, you may be contacted if other gangs turn down the spot or are otherwise unable to attend.
I understand boosting is frowned upon; but in envy’s case before the boosting from varies gangs started they played around 204 legit matches, and lost about 30 of them, putting them well above bulldogs; you said that they never played against any other teams which makes me think that you didn’t check the logs at all but the recent ones which I understand why you decided to disqualify them but from a viewers perspective envy had a well rounded team that would’ve made GST more interesting to watch, and shouldn’t have been DQd.
Argument may be terrible but considering other gangs were caught in the act of boosting just as envy I really don’t see the need to have them DQd if any of the other gangs haven’t been. Majority of their wins are legit; even with the points deducted from boosting they're still #2. Im pretty sure besides boosting some of the gangs that have placed through BB or GS have done worse cheating than just boosting.
