Let's put up a scenario.

Fake Sean: Hi, can I interview you for the mercy newspaper?
Kendrick: Sure
Fake Sean: I need your email and password to do this.
Kendrick: [insert email and password]

I could easily pose as Sean and go around era, asking people for personal info.
Not everyone's smart as you, Kendrick but there are people who just trust staff members
too much. I'll stand by my argument, it's all Pamaj's decision at the end of the day.

Kendrick, don't make an average of intelligence by your own statistics.
Yes, there are people who won't but there are as well.
There's 9 year olds in Era, trust me. Even if one email is taken, that's a huge problem.
"Staff are not responsible for loss of emails" That's true, but they're in charge of
preventing these kind of people from doing these kind of things.

With all due respect, you can't deny the possibility.

Other than that, I've only given you the most obvious of
things they would steal. There's way more that exist, I've only states one.
They're good in what they do, they sound very convincing when they do it.

If that's so, then have Pamaj warp those players to Sean in a building where an interview can occur.

That's an understandable idea but it's not very convenient.
What if they imitate you as well? Yes, it sounds far fetched but it's a possibility.
Other than that, Sean's going to have to drag you over to the place and confirm that he's the real one.
I don't expect everyone in the team to own one, but just Sean. "Interviewer" could be his tag, or something else, from rhe will if Sean himself.

Sean doesn't need the tag, but as his friends who are his team are admins is far enough. If Sean wants a tag, tell him to apply for PR. Dani wants to help, because they will work in a team. Not just Dani, but other people can help this no-staff fellow out.

Sean doesn't want a tag, he needs one.
I've already shown you the possibilities of what might happen if he doesn't own
an official tag. Who am I to say? It's Pamaj's decision, maybe he'll take this into consideration.
If not, that's fine by me but he's losing a vital fault in preventing scams.

If I go to start and whip out a couple EC items claiming I'm an admin, I'll be drowning in player emails and passwords. Most people at start are extremely gullible.
