Eras terms of service are basically the same as every single online game on the market. There's no reason to be scared of them - if you've played any other online game happily the terms of service for that game are probably like 95% the same.
Balancing the stats of the guns are well within our rights, you can try take toonslab to court over it but you'd have no luck.
World of Warcraft is a good example- They rebalance the classes all the time and it either goes well or terribly depending on how you play and that game has 1000% the competitive playerbase that iera does and nobody sues over it and these people PAY to play the game.
I'll be a little harsh now- so many people shouldn't be throwing tantrums over the stats of a gun that you can earn for free. Nothing in iera is pay-to-win in a technical sense. Sure, you can pay for your guns but it's convenience. Nobody needs to pay for ANYTHING with real money. Get over it, get good with some different guns and move on.
In the future this rebalance will work out well and we want to encourage sparrers and gangs to be experimenting with different guns and strategies and that's not going to happen if the whole competitive community is only using 1 of 2 guns. It's a broken system and it needs to be fixed. The right decision for the games balance isn't always the most popular decision if you ask the people taking advantage of the broken system. Our prerogative isn't to keep the top gangs happy- it's to keep the game healthy.
Legal threats should go through the support center.
So for 5 years the system has been "broken" and suddenly a change was made by one individual. If I buy a 1 million dollar Ferrari I expect it to out perform a 80 thousand dollar Mustang. It's clear other admin will justify this egotistical move to nerf weapons unnecessarily. You talk about the community but fail to take there opinions seriously.

The changes didn't happen overnight, I believe it was planned for a long time.
Multiple people in the staff team had input (not the PR team) into what happened with the changes.
I don't think it's fair the full brunt of hurt is put onto Sam because of this.
The changes aren't perfect, and yes maybe the team could have handled the issue of balancing better through more community outreach but I personally am not sure if the community would be interested in balancing guns in a way that's fair for everyone in the community.
The PR team would not be involved in something that alters Era very directly.
That would have to be a conversation between the developer team, Sam and an Era pundit like Meph etc.
I'm not talking for Sam, that's just how I would handle a conversation like that. For all I know the changes were made with the full confidence of the developer team.
My point is that a change like this didn't come just from Sam, I'm sure the dev managers would have had a say and certainly the Manager would have signed off on the changes.
Based on the way it was originally presented it looks like Bitzsam made all these changes himself. The original post was his justification and his reason why he made changes. Unless someone else comes along and says they also had direct input then that's the way it seems. The changes should have been a collaboration not a sign off on it because Bitzsam is a favorable staff or good person. It's clear this was a mistake period. Will it be rectified or will any senior staff help change this mistake and prevent future ones is the question.

If only I Player other online games correct? Graal was the one and online online game I've played that I pay for and actually care about. The approval of many major staff is approval enough about an issue of lawsuit. I don't care to sue Graal. Maybe label the buying of guns as a convienience. To speed up the process of obtaining an item? Then I'd have no problem with that. But there was no way of me knowing that my lovely 25 round super OP BAR back then, would turn into this oblivion. I'm not happy. If anything, I would've bought different guns with the bar rebalanced now. Why I bought certain guns no longer fit my strategy. I have Bar, Pbp, m107, minigun, smr, socom (and these are my relevant guns). In Bars current state, al the other guns I have out perform bar for specific tasks. You've isolated 1 gun but set free the others but the price of that one isolated gun is drastically changed. Not too sure I'm happy, but I'll take the diversity. Only problem is that new very expensive sitting gun in my inventory
