There must be a reason for it so stop assuming that he got fired for no reason. If he did something wrong then he should have been fired.
The reason of his firing is quite shocking, but as said, there's a reason for everything.
If you would like to know why he has been removed, ask him personally, as it's his personal firing and not yours.
