That's what they did for last year's Christmas presents.
But many people abused it & got themselves least 4-5 ECs.
Christmas wishlist eh?
1. Cross Melee- Pretty much a ranged weapon with two functions. The first is that is can be thrown like a boomerang meaning it returns to you dealing damage on release AND return. Can hit multiple targets but stops if comes into contact with wall or terrain. Second is a regular pistol function that deals normal damage and slows.
2. Reindeer housepet...cuz y'know...screw it. Santa's Helper housepet too.
3. Mistletoe- Hold it above a friend. They can accept or reject. If they accept then a cute lil kiss animation between characters happens.
4. New event: Lucky Prezzy- players are elves in Santa's workshop. They have to find all the bad presents before Christmas! Players grab a present they think is ok every round. If the present is a bad present then it explodes in their face when opened ;P
5. Toy Soldier- Think of the lil guy as a sentry. 1 damage per second and can be destroyed with 3 hits Or something like that.
6. Slay bells- Deadly sleighe bells that deal damage and have a secondary function that has players jingle them for a musical sound.
7. Santa Tracker- A little device that pulls up a Norad Santa Tracker. A seperate idea would be an event where players use Santa Trackers to find a Santa npc that randomnly teleported around the city. When you grab him, you will be warped to his workshop to pick out your own prezzy furniture that can only be opened on Christmas(gifts may vary). Can only be grabbed once for the prezzy but any grabs afterward will warp you to the shop where snowmen(or whatever you guys come up with) have taken over and you must defeat them for your pick of 3 favorable items(like Halloween' s bats, Pumpkins, and cobwebs.
8. Frostbyte- Flamethrower like freeze Ray that deals chilling damage per second. The effect of this weapon is more devestating the longer it deals damage. As it deals damage it applies stacking slows and will ultimately stun enemies if they stay within the ray' s blast for too long. For instance, if I use my Freeze Ray on Star he will take 2 damage per second and be slowed by 5% per second after he first took damage. After about 5 seconds or so, Star will have completely frozen if he didn't move out of the ray' s blast range! The gun can overheat spamming will not be an issue. Yes...The freeze Ray can overheat.
9. Anything different- The reason I quit era is because there is never anything new. It's the same stuff, over and over again. We always see some shiny new item or "unique" monster we have to defeat for some average weapons. I can tell how hard Era's staff is working for some diversity in the gameplay but to be honest, it just isn't enough. Every new weapon is just a skin for the last and every new event is a repeat of history. Ugh...I can just imagine some mediocre quest that makes us run around and hunt for some bull**** item that's most likely gonna end up stolen or worthless. Idk...maybe I'm just stupid and don't know what I'm saying. I'm just so drained lately =_=
All of these are extremely basic ideas that annoy me to just leave undetailed. I will be back for Christmas just to see if anything interesting or different happens.
*Sigh* I'm feeling extremely bored here for once...I hate it with a passion.

Oh wait, I've got another one. Bring Christmas to the kids of Era. Sell a customizable Christmas Tree that, on Christmas Eve only, will spawn presents under it. Perhaps bring the real nostalgic feel of being visited by Santa Claus to Era if possible. Personally...I'd love to feel like a kid again...even though I still am one.
