AA is definately needed along the edges. Also instead of going from dark to light contrast you should try to add a consistent texture, i suggest you perhaps search wood texture or something to get a better understanding of that that texture is like and the way the texture looks when it is curved.
Also try not to add random light sources to something as dull a texture as wood, i don't often see wood shining unless it's wet.

Not harsh at all, thank you. :D I'll see what I can do. I was just looking for a lightsource 'cause graal things usually have a lightsource y'know? I guess I can try something different. I'll check it out when I'm home.
