You don't necessarily need to search up "pixel" etc, honestly, you can search sketches, paintings, or digital drawings to get a reference image.
I use whatever there for a reference.

I used colors from this: Attachment 28697

Tbh it looks better. Thanks for idea WreX!
Too flat. A sword usually has a double shade. Half light, half dark. 2/3 of your sword is light while 1/3 is light. There is no glare whatsoever to the sword and that IS necessary when it's a sword. Unless if it's a different material. Also, ice has a different texture than metal, so it'll be hard to shade that. Frankly, it will have to be a bit "transparent" and lots of glare due to the fact that ice has a lot of light coming through.
Accepted and here you go:Attachment 28699
I also added detail to it

DAMN! I DID THIS! IM IMPRESSIVE!!! :O
Not quite. Using the same outline color inside the sword makes the whole sword as separate cubes. It looks as if your sword will fall in pieces. Once again, shading isn't fixed. Do not praise your own graphics, if so, you'll end up in failure, yet love towards your art, but death towards us. Such graphic must be praised by others or the artist when it is completely finished. And that, Johnny, is sure not done.
you are getting better i think you need to check more tutorials now and read all the tutorial you find and read it good
Excuses, excuses
A sword is meant to look breakable?

The shading also needs improvement
Its too straight as if the light source is in the perfect angle?
No no matter where a light source is there is never a completely straight line with a dark shade and a lighter shade
How your "shading" the sword is more of a gradient which is a no go in pixel art. If you would like some help feel free to message me, I'd be happy to draw up a quick sword shading guide for you to reference.

Commentary on the design
you need to work on your light source rather then applying a gradient.
