Science is used as a means to question our surroundings and learn more about the environment we live in while religion plays a role in our spiritual bringing together. His use of religion as a means to justify a law is completely unconstitutional in its own right because of the fact that we have the freedom of religion, therefore we should not be held to other peoples religious standards. No one goes into a church and tells you that you cannot pray, so you cannot tell someone they cant be with who they want to be with. Religion was based off the early belief of what caused events in our surroundings such as why it rained, snowed, why there was sunlight etc. However it then later evolved into more of a unifying idea that brought people together and was also used as a means of controlling people, hence the Pope being such a strong influence of power in the early 13th and 14th centuries. Also it would explain why religion was used as a means of control in the HRE (Holy Roman Empire).
While in days past the use of religion was deemed easy to enforce, nowadays it is ineffective as its sphere of influence has dwindled as well as the rise of science.

I think he will be able to make mexico pay for the wall. the estimated cost of the wall is between 15-25 billion dollars. People from the u.s. send over 24 billion dollars a year to mexico to their families and other people. Trump has said he will cut off the 24 billion being sent there each year if they don't pay for the wall. Either way i think it will go up. If congress passes it. if they don't pay for it they will have 24 billion less american dollars flowing through their economy each year.Quote:

To be completely honest I don't know why this matters any longer, Trump won simply because it was the year of the outsider. People did not want your run of the mill politician. Bernie would have beaten Trump by far because of his appeal to the blue collar vote that ultimately gave Trump the nomination. On top of that many of the third party voters only went third party because of the way the DNC favored Hillary over Bernie. They said that he was unelectable yet look where we are.
And for those who find socialist programs to be horrible keep in mind that we lack the basic benefits that so many other countries are given. People in Denmark make around the same or a slight bit more per family in terms of money, and yet with their higher taxes which goes to: healthcare, schooling, and other benefits are able to retain more money than the average US household. With our taxes we see very little if any go back to us, most of it goes into military spending and other government funded programs.
Trickle down economics doesnt work, and most of the wealth of this country is retained by billionaires like Donald Trump.
