Please, just... Why?!

I am 100% sure the issue is the confusion about the server message "The messaged player logged out". Players think either you turned off pms or you have that message sent. Truth is, staff never even see the players pm unless they are logged into Era, NOT just RC. You can have one without the other. Some staff idle on RC when they are afk/asleep and clearly not in Era. The problem is, they still "appear" to be online in the friend list and so players pm them and are confused about the server message they receive.

My suggestion is to either find a way so that if staff is only on RC they show up as offline versus online to players, or just the verbiage sent from the server from "the messaged player logged out" to something more descriptive perhaps.

I am in the Eastern U.S. timezone. I have friends in Aus whom I rarely see if at all as their schedule is opposite mine, +14 hours ahead of me. Based on where you said you are and where Reno is, it is the exact same situation. Not saying this is exclusively the issue, but likely a part of it - especially since you said you don't log in too often lately.
