Im not in it for the ec, i never was. this is about the present system. Why are we all (especially me) buying these presents with no knowledge of what is in them, and what the chances are of anything. Like seriously, theres not even any particular discription on any of the presents. Last year i watched people trade hundreds of presents, expecting they would get a chance at a gold souizen, in the end they found out they were opening "the wrong presents." I dont know if any of you realize this, but we should not be buying anything these presents expecting the same stuff from last year. I think there should be vague descriptions, and statistics in the description of the presents.
For example:
This is a pink present. W% chance of melee, X% chance of ec, Y% of gun1 and Z% of gun2
There is no reason that this should not be implimented except it would make presents less attractive to buy.
Gifts should be a suprise. Not knowing what's in them is the best part of opening them (well in real life). I would like to know too, however I'm not too worried about it. I might be giving a buttload of presents when I'm able to be on Era full time again :P only to friends, unless I feel like in a giving mood and no one begs me for them.
I agree with Mystic lol, if you were giving a present to a friend/family should you tell them what's inside? of course NOT, the element of surprise just makes it that tad more special ;)
It's not that low, I asked people and they said they got like 40'ec from 500 presents and 25 from 250. If it was 0.02% there would be no sense in buying presents for yourself. If I were to guess based on what I've heard, the chances are most likely 8-10% per $500 presents.
Even if it was .02%, you still could get 2 presents, in a row, with ec in it. It's all just based on luck with the presents you get.
It's the most beautiful time of the year,
Lights fill the streets spreading so much cheer,
I should be playing in the winter snow,
But Imma be under the mistletoe.
