Nahh man. I have a looong way to go before I become entitled a "Pixel God." There's always room to improve.
Heck yeah, mate!
Yes sir, correct.

Just an overall look at the stuff I made between November and December. (Contains: Scratch work, some tiny edits, and unfinished work.)
Couldn't find everything but I'm missing at least 6 more files.
I really like the mount and those crafting items XD ..
The red one will go great as a Christmas melee.

Well, they're certainly quite fancy.
Thanks man!
I started briefly in 2010 but stopped for a few months due to the frustration. In 2011 I started again and was extremely motivated by different artists such as G187, Sage, and Zerith. Mostly G187 because he taught me some basics on how to shade an outline. After awhile I applied my own knowledge of perspective and shading for objects, which increased my GFX at an extreme rate.
At first I started by detailing 2D art really hard, trying to make it realistic. However, this doesn't look so good for the iOS Graal servers. For this past year I have started settling in a more simple/classic style which is favored by most players on Graal. Using clean colors, simple shading, makes it look best. I still have some old work from years ago such as my first hat, my first melee, furniture, and even my first gun and heads. I was motivated by other art threads and I observed on how they shaded. I studied the work of their shading on every piece of art for Graal, especially for furniture and heads. Melees are my favorite. I developed my own creative style for them, which is probably why I like working with them so much. I have also been offered payed jobs for making 2D art but it is a part time thing. Mostly where they request a few things and I made them.
Either way, in art you always learn and improve. There is no boundary. Your goal is your boundary and you're the one who pushes yourself to continue.

One sprite of that reindeer took about 15-20 minutes.

Havent made a melee in awhile. :D I like how it turned out.
I like it too! Looks like a great melee to earn in a quest/special event.
Nice melee!
Cool
Speechless too, Jake. Shiz been the inspiration to me to make GFX.
that reindeer is shaded superbly i can only touch it's soft hair , the melee you made is pretty cool, but why does it have random stripes going across it? I've seen this from many gfx artists and in my eyes it just looks stupid but art is in the eye of the beholder as they say.
you should make a crossbow for ol west

Something I'm working on. hehe
Sorry but god damn that looks messy, i think part of the problem is that it's too dark, i thought it was a melee at first because of the idled stance might wanna fix that, or if you want i can do it for you, i need practice :D
First thought/guess: Ol West.
If not, Delteria.
Basically what it is :P

i dislike the idle, i think it should be pointed down because it looks like it weighs alot ( gotta use that common sense ;) ) most big gun idles i see are made to look like the carrier is struggling to lift it's weight in a way.
