I've seen this idea mentioned in this thread several times, and I don't fully understand how this kind of change hurts the veteran players.
I would actually think this nerf benefits the veteran players more than the newer players, as veteran players have had time to get proficient at dodging bullets; and hence would be good with any gun.
Before the nerf, the overpowered BAR gave newer players a handicap to help bridge their skill deficiency (dodging bullets and timing shots).
Now that the BAR has been nerfed, they no longer have the option of letting their wallet fight for them.
I could be missing something -- but it seems to me like newer players are more disadvantaged now; as they have lost the option to purchase a handicap.
If somebody could clear up for me how veteran players are 'weakened' by this change, so I can get an understanding of your perspective? =D
Actually this move has had the opposite effect of creating ''skill based play & no spam''. And I'm not talking about going solo vs gang in bbz, where most of the gang members are afk & barely even care you're there, I'm talking about a real gang war like in lethal. Gun walling & spamming is even more effective now because all the top tier guns have had their firerate nerfed & reload time increased now those lower tier guns mixed in with high tier guns or normal tier guns with higher freeze but potentially higher firerate is really dominating those gun walling situations. Now its extremely hard to break the gun walls because our tools are less effective & you CAN'T COUNTER GUN WALLING WITH DODGING. & in those gun wall there is no ''practice your skill in dodging'' you can only dodge so much in a small situation before backup comes & you''re dead. Also have to point out speed in basing has really decreased because gun walling is more effective none of the top weapons can take out those gun walls in a flash, so we have to ''dodge'' but dodging doesn't work very well in a crowded base because of the back up. You can maybe take on the one coming after you but after that you're dead. All you can hope is you'r gang is big enough, in which case the problem of spam & gun walling is STILL big gangs, it wasn't the guns.
I've actually stopped pking at lethal because its base layout really messes up any solo pker, its a waste of time. And Meph, yeah you're on to something because now its easy to tell whos had their bar practice and who hasn't lol
I want bar returned to former glory just for the sake of the money and time I've spent getting it. Idc who has a disadvantage or excuses for veteran players I want what I payed for or my money back.
Its all about the timing of your shots. You can increase your rof if you fire your shot as closely as the cool time is over; I like call this "getting in sync with your gun".

I'd hate to say this and I completely understand your frustration but you need to look at the bigger picture. I'm not saying this in a insulting way but in order for the game to become better, it has to make some sacrifices, and sadly BAR is one of the sacrifices that was needed. But hey, on the bright side every single gun thats close to BAR's level have also been nerfed so BAR is still stronger than GM4, (maybe) P2K, etc.
I agree with you. We don't care about this is more ''balance'' or ''compromise'' nonsense all I know is I don't like the game the way it is now. Not everyone likes adapting these changes.

We don't want to insult we just want our money back
Hmmmm, think of it this way: You spent $100 real life money for a OP pixel gun with insane stats. Now Bitzsam comes and change the stats but says its "hierarchy" isn't changed.
That alone makes a lot of people salty because people brought BAR because it was "Holy cow so op, wow amazing, wow i can rekt ppl, wow wow wow wow."
And you have a point about the veterans being able to polish their dodging skills but then again, now with these guns that are slightly slower the "newbies" will also have a better chance at learning the dodges and stuff, so its really beneficial to both sides. The issue I see here is that people are salty because their favorite weapon isn't as "glorious" as it used to be and they feel scammed of their money. Put it this way:
Bar (A): Fast Fire Rate, Low Freeze, 20 Clip, 200,000 price [Old]
Bar (B): Medium Fire Rate, Medium Freeze, 15 (or whatever the new clip size is) Clip, 200,000 price [New]
- What do you think the people would prefer?
They would definitely prefer A, since the stat for both the BARs is completely different yet their price remained the same.
Oh and we are weakened because take BAR for example. If BAR [old] vs a M4 then the [old] BAR will have a better chance at winning than if BAR [new] vs M4.
So we are weakened but not by much.
