hmm, it's only two digits, and you only need to really think of the last column think of the pattern of numbers and how they decrease and increase.

Yep. It becomes clear, as well; simply erase your cookies and return to somewhere you've been and you'll find something that works where it never would have before. There, you'll find your stopgap.

The stopgap is to allow other Salient to catch up to you on the path. Expect a difficulty increase in the next stage.
