I have noticed, with this new system in effect, is a decrease in people in bases/pking bases (in some cases they have been 100% empty), no noticeable increase in spar, or any of the other goals you initially set out to accomplish. Even the goal of increasing gun diversity within the population has not been met. Players have begun using what is deemed the "new best" which are currently different since the golden guns have been rendered virtually useless. This meaning players are using different guns from before but not a greater diversity.
People are always going to gravitate to a name brand item its part of popular culture. If the top gang leaders are all using the pbps, then the general population will too because that is seen as a way to rise to the "best." Also in my experience most people don't emerge as a serious basers until they have a gun of popular social status hence the popularity of the pbp, shipka, or BAR. This point can be proven in instances when the metal storm was popular, all the top basers used this gun and the general population used it more. That is until the top basers switched to the p2ks or back to the BAR in some cases. Which began the rise of p2ks
Spar was the main other reason for this "rebalancing" which is a pointless argument in favor of nerfing of all golden guns. If the spar people were truly affected by these guns that have been around forever then why not utilize multiplex. Multiplex the place essentially catered to sparrers and with balanced weapons specifically for that community. It can't be because multiplex is too crowded because multiplex is, generally, not crowded at all.
So that brings the question of what's the point? If people aren't basing more, aren't sparring more, and we haven't accomplished anything except gaining the anger of a lot of players. I'm all for rebalancing a gun if it benefits the population (like banning the chem from bases I totally support), but this seems like a poor attempt at promoting the success of other guns, more so the nature of combat in iEra.
