There should be on the upload site for iEra thing that allows you to upload a gun skin, and since there was an option like that on PC Era, that should work with iEra, shouldn't it?

Although this sounds good to me, keeping track/managing these weapons might be a problem in the sense that a persons bar skin would end up looking up looking like a sten, thus, being deceptive (example). The Era app would also take up even more memory since almost everyone would want there own skin.
I think the custom heads/bodies/shields are enough. If weapon skins become customizable, what Ricky said and what would be next, custom car skins, custom item skins..
Moreover, the current gun skins would be useless. No one would prefer a common gun skin to a custom one.
Shouldn't overflow era with gun skins even for those under 10k ones.

It would make the 15k basing hours reward useless.
There is a way to upload your own weapon skin, but you will need a gang with 15k hours and put the gun skin as gang picture. If it is approved by the gfx department the gun your gang used mostly during their basing time will now have that skin available.
Ugh,isnt that too complicated? The template? What if someone makes an innapropriate one? Or uses a wrong template.

Alan beat me to it, but yeah. There is a reward for basing 15k hours and the gang gets a gun skin. It would make this pointless if anybody can just get a custom gun skin.Quote:

If this happens then there would be no need for graphic staff. As soon as you know people will ask for more things to be customized and graphics staff will be left with nothing do.
good idea it seems like something everyone would want or more of a color editing system not a whole new skin like instead of re doing the whole gun just add some design on it or something

it wouldn't be accepted then when uploaded like a custom head if it had something inappropriate on it and admin wouldn't accept it
The reason PC Era's gun skin uploads work so well (I have 4 uploads on server.) is because the playerbase has only around 100-150 players. Era iPhone has 3k+ daily players, a large majority of which are Graphic Artists. In addition to the large volume of players and skins being imported, ALL of them have to be re-gani'd and re-SFXed for whatever reason. (ice_is_nice4, skin coordinator of PC Era told this to me.)
