Katana is the best all round melee weapon in my opinion. It does 9 damage, fast and has a longer range than hunter. Artillery cannon was nerfed a while ago and was good for basing. I'd go with katana but it's up to you.
Oh but hunter knife?Is that similar at katana?
Hunter knife has less range than a katana. Katana is better.
But I need 17 ec more!
The reason you should get katana is that the hunter gets boring with the katana's looks is why people prefer over hunter also it's faster in a way and little bit more range.Quote:

Katana, i got the samurai swords... totally worth it bcz they look cool but gani is bad ._. but katana looks tight too
If you are a skilled melee user then I recommend the Hunter knife. Not saying katana doesn't take skill but if you're good with a hunter knife it's a great all around weapon. Just sayin. Plus I think Hunter knife is more sexc.

They are not bad but I say katana is much better

machete got a buff its the second best melee in game now
