Issues With Gun Nerfing And Why Refunds SHOULD Take Place

Ok, so, as you've all seen, gun statistics vary by time and, sometimes, the guns are nerfed in a severe manner by Gun Admins. I remember when they nerfed the PBP's damage and every bullet would do one damage less than it used to do, and they told us: "It was too OP and we nerfed it for the good of iEra." and, now, they will decrease the Artiller Cannon's clip from 16 to 1...That, my friends, is what I call injustice. I don't get my ECs that easily, nor do I get my money that easily; guns are being nerfed for no reason what so ever, and then the people in charge are like "No refunds. Period." Ok really? Let's have an example: You buy a car in real life; a car that u really, really love. And then, one day, the salesman comes to ur home and tells u he has to mess up the car's speed and pop one of the tires, but you get no refunds (again, this is an example so stay with me here i haven't slept all night). What would you say?? "Oh, thank you, sir, I'm very grateful."? Or "Alright, that's good; the car SHOULD have been messed up like that."? Or would you request a refund??? My point is: When you wanna nerf a gun on era, why don't you allow players to refund it? Some of them wouldn't have even bought the gun if they knew the stats would be nerfed in the future...Now, please, if you're gonna give me feedback, tell me why you do or do not support me and post a logical reason of why or why not; don't go like "omg im so pr0 i can get ecs anyday so this isnt a problem for me" or "you dont have the skills to deal with nerfing??". I'd appreciate anyone's feedback as long as it's supported with logical reasons and explainations. As I always say, I hope you take my idea into concideration, thank you for reading, and sorry for the long thread :).

i agree with this guy. BAR nerfed from 25 to 20 clip. Can it be back to 25? If can't, refund my bar 100% cause i wnt to buy minigun instead

we will never get gun refunds. that is pretty clear

The guns stats were fine before, all this nerfing and changing of its stats are unnecessary. I would like the guns to be returned back to it's original stats.

I couldn't read the rest because you cried about the pbp being nerfed before... I can't take this thread seriously now.

Noting much if changed in the guns except the freeze/clip/ROF.
The damage still stays, people who support refunds just wants to refund their old guns and get something better.
Refunds were clearly stated that it won't happen, I don't understand the meaning of creating more refund threads.
If it's a serious thing that has a major impact on Era, then go contact snk.

With the whole idea of refunds, I believe that if a nerf takes place then every owner should have the option of a refund. But that option only applies after a nerf to stop people buying guns, regretting it and then just demanding refunds. Either that or stop nerfing guns and look at possibilities such as changing the health system or something.

Actually, players should be able to pawn the gun, like on Era (Playerworlds), where is you go to the mall on there and just go to the Pawn shop and pawn whatever gun you have.

Also, I think Era iPhone should have a mall too. Would be really really nice for the traders to get their items out there.

But they should change the gun stats back to what they were before cause that's what players bought the guns for, and now that they keep changing the stats cause the guns are too "OP" then you should have thought about that before you released it instead of nerfing it all of a sudden..

I want refunds but I doubt they will happen, I've asked for refunds myself. But anyways, I think that admins need to be more careful on how they release guns.

In the circumstance of guns being altered, I absolutely endorse the option to refund.

It only makes sense- a person puts up bread for a product as it was when they purchased it.
It's like approving a head upload, drawing a mustache on it a week later, and not giving the player the option to refund it.

Whether we think we're improving it or nerfing it is irrelevant. This decision should be solely up to the person who purchased it.

Everybody benefits from allowing refunds; and I say this both as a player and as a Gun Admin.
The Gun Admin is given the freedom to modify guns how they see fit, and they aren't stuck sweeping a previous GA's mistakes under the rug.
And players aren't stuck biting the bullet when guns are adjusted to promote a more skill-based game.

Plus, I fail to see where nobody loses from this-- it's not like they're going to convert the money back into dollars.
They take that money and purchase another gun on our game. What's wrong with that?

The only conditions I would present are:

• Refunds can only be offered to those who had the gun prior to the change.
• Refunds can only happen once per each gun alteration.
• Refunds are irreversible. By refunding, you assume full responsibility for losing your gun or spending your money elsewhere. You understand that if the gun is changed back to the way it was previously after you refund, you reserve no right to complain.

I agree with this. buffs and nerfs are a needed part of any mmo to make the game fair. balancing a game like this is extremely difficult. You will almost never get it right on the first try and you will never get a game like this perfectly balanced to where everybody is happy. People get mad because the nerfed gun isn't what they paid for. I think giving these players a chance to refund after a nerf is a great idea.
but since era seems to be so against gun refunds i highly doubt we will ever see this.

Why isn't there a thread that puts all the buffs and nerfs that are made into any gun in Era. The last one I've seen hasn't been updated in a while.

PBP was OP and still is OP; I totally agree with you. But some people who bought PBP wanted it to be like it was and not how it is ATM; I wasn't nagging about the PBP's nerfing; not at all. I was just proving my point of view about having guns the way they are and instead of nerfing the gun and keeping it in its owner's possesion, just remove the gun from all owner who bought it before the nerf and give them their money back; that way people will decide if they wanna take the gun back or not. I still appreciate your feedback tho.

The majority of people who ask for refunds when a gun is nerfed just ask it as a way to make their stand against a gun being nerfed, i could almost guarantee that if one time someone actually did refund their gun they would be annoyed and after a few days probably re buy it

At this point, with all the gun nerfs, people should be able to get a refund, not only because its unfair to the players that they paid for one thing and it was changed to another. Its incredibly difficult to get EC and Gralats in general and it becomes worse when players don't get what they originally wanted. Its basically like going out to buy a new bike, you buy it and then the salesman comes back a week later and changes all the parts for worse ones. It just doesn't make sense

Guns Admin should not be given the rights to modify guns how they see fit,you paid this amount of cash for this stats of a gun,now you're trying to nerf the gun,so why not give compensation to players who bought the "OP" gun after reading its stats,maybe not a full refund but bar clips from 25 to 20,you could compensate anyone who bought bar around 50-60k? Just My Opinion,but it won't probably happen due to all the failed attempts of other players for refund.Have A Nice Day At The Forums.

I think that if guns are gonna get nerfed the price should get lowered since we payed a ton of gralats for them or even real money to buy gralats and buy the gun. since we bought the gun for its stats, but not for it to get nerfed :/:o

That's not the point of the thread, tho. As I've said, having no refunds allowed after having the gun messed up is extremely unfair; lowering the price won't do anything for the ones who already have the gun bought.

We call this the old "Bait and switch" tactic well a form of it that is.... Here in the states it is Illegal but i'm sure in France its fair game.... frenchies will do anything to get ahead but as we all know.... they cant..

The problem with nerfing is, when ever you buy a gun there is no message saying "you agree that this gun may be nerfed ect."
This kinda brings it back to W A R T H's hole bait and switch message which is completely true
I was upset when pbp was nerfed because i feel like its a rusty gun I could not fix
I feel like its wrong for admins to nerf guns because as admins it could not affect them in any way
I feel sorry for those who use iTunes to buy guns then have the guns be nerfed
Because in no way did they agree for that to happen to their product and and did not expect to have problems with the gun
Sure our accounts are owned by graal which means they can basically do what they want to our accounts
But this still isnt right conisdering the player would have to spend their time or money on something they did not agree on happening

Thanks for giving an admin response to this BiTzSam- but hearing no refunds because Stefan/Snk made the guns too high priced is kinda frustrating. The fact that they are higher priced should make offering some sort of compensation a bigger deal for the player who purchased the altered gun.

Its kinda unfair to the person if he gets nothing for having his gun nerfed

I'd trade my bar in for some event coins of something of equal value.

That's understandable and you are correct about the Era Economy thing, but its just frustrating to wake up one day and find your bar clip is down and the reload rate has been slowed down. Also frustrated over the M4 reload nerf, since it wasn't particularly op, just a great spar gun.

I'd be happy if they would do some price changes... If there going to Nerf the guns then change there price so others are not mislead into buying a exspensive gun... The Bar is now a 200k Tommy gun that does 9 damage... Same Reload,Spread,Clip.
