One of the best jobs in Era is digging right? No.
I believe if you switch to mining,you'll make WAY more money than digging by the time you're level 20. :)
You wouldn't have to deal with gas,crabs,noobs getting in your way,and it'll be silent for you in the mines. :)
Plus if you're a high leveled miner and need minerals for upgrades...go mine them. This is why mining is better than digging.
but it is not good way for starters. you need to waste 2 months of boring mining and only then you will be able to get more money. plus it is really boring to put them into machines after you mined. and also with shells you can buy some thing on trade tables.
^You can also trade rocks for things at tables. Rock are as valuable or even more of value than shells.
I rather keep the rocks than trading them.
Just imagine how much you could get with those 3 pile of rocks.

Zegshock my level is 8th. i know it is low i mined just 3 weeks. not all the days but before this i got only 5th so thanks to mystic she got 60th level so she was mining like 4 rocks in minute so i decided to come at least to 20th
My level is 21 :) planning to level up next week

Nope... Unless you're some mining fanatic who mines practically the whole time you're online (It takes thousands of rocks to hit lvl6, I'm at lvl5 and got about 1500 left for lvl6).
For mining fanatics who mine pretty much hours upon hours, yes. Just be ready with more money to pop in batteries when your drill dies an unknown amount of times in a day.
For those who only mine to repair guns, no. You're better off digging.
If I were to switch to mining as my source of profit, I'd need a pocket full of cash, more patience than it takes to dig, and incredible luck.
In otherwords, I'd rather stick to digging. Yes mining may bring in more money, but won't be able to effectively until you've mined for months and bring your mining level to above 20.

Well as long as you have enough for a drill, you should get a profit right away to pay off for your next battery. That's only if you tap once every so often so you don't waste your battery fast. If you constantly tap before another rock adds to the pile at the first levels, it's hard to make any profit when you're using that to buy batteries.

mining freaking sucks i wouldn't mind if they double the exp i wish it was more smoother
its just soooooo boring trying to mine i can't even reach lv.1 i just get tired after 1 rock and never go there again
Guess im lucky then lol. I get a diamond or other rare minerals 1/2(3) times I put it in the machine and get two rare ones at once 1/15. :P
And I'm only level 9.
i hate the whole idea of having to wait another freaking time to get random ores after all that freaking wait i just did via drilling.. such a waste of time
they should just drop an ore and decide exp from the ore quality
Also, digging is versatile. You could not only be digging, but you could be picking up trash, getting mushrooms, and even pk'ing and getting bodyparts while you dig.
I mine on pc and I get at least 500 iron every 2 weeks.
Im trying to get to around level 50 or so by next summer, i doubt i can do it since im busy most weekends

^I thought it was 600 or 160 or something with a 6.
If rocks were already minerals, it would be better than digging, but the fact that you have to put all your rocks in a machine is what makes mining a slow job.

Personally,mining as a job is pretty okay.
Although sometimes it gets a bit repetitive it's still a pretty good job to get some money out of.
Grinding to level up takes a long time but it's worth it really.
Adding the useless minerals like gypsum was the worst mining update ever. Lol Bboyeatsbacon had level 100 mining ;) and he was able to put like 15 rocks into the machine at once
Imagine some big mining gang which took over mines and wouldn't let anybody go on a machine. XD
