Thoughts on possible invisible players?

Hello!

I was wondering what you guys think of invisible players in the event house, I personally would love to have an option to make other players completely invisible (Except admins of course.) This would really help reduce lag and make the events more fun for players who have lower end devices. The only exception to this would be team events like tag team spar or capture the flag etc.


Let me know what you guys think or whether this would be possible to implement.

I agree. Then you could actually find yourself during a race.

Not completely, that would confuse you a lot.

alright how about it only shows the top 5-10 people who are leading for example in a race event?

I would say possibly transparent in the events house instead. I would think if people are invisible there might be problems with summoning people without others knowing.

they already are transparent but it still lags really bad, virtually has no effect.

I'm saying if they become invisible, as in they can't be seen, there's a possibility of staff summoning their friends to the winning area without people knowing.

Fair comment, can you think of anything else that can reduce lag then? This is one of the only things I thought off.

Sadly no, as long as they find a way to reduce the lag in a fair way I'm all for it.

Hmm well I thought invisible players would be a good idea but from you've stated it has made me think of a few negatives to having this implemented.

Turning nicknames off always eliminates my lag issues, but it becomes a bother in ctf...

The door will close without someone realizing it...if players were completely invisible, it would confuse everyone, and it would feel really strange.

There are pros and cons to everything. You put a great idea and people say the negatives so you can alter the idea to make it work. I think just make them barely visible.

This only affects during events. And if there's an option for it-just saying.
If anyone activate that transparency of players in base, they can't see who their aiming at.
On the other hand, this may have confusions of people having to know who their chatting with or trying to tap someone just to PM.
