Since you have a Shipka already, then by all means, get a katana. The katana literally never fails when you need it, and having a Shipka is already a decent gun. Besdes, the katana actually has faster stats than the taser, kiwi, and hunter. How do I know? I've had the hunter and taser myself, and the katana kills significantly faster.
I would recommend AK74, I have it and it is a devil in spar.

I do not recommend katana, although it intrigues people and make people think higher of you (just because in the eyes of some people katana looks cooler)it doesn't mean that is necessary. Ak74 is a beast in spar though.

Katana.
The katana has an edge in length, if you notice by looking a slight closer to detail. The Ak74 is decent, but if you have the given money, you may get something better, right? If you want an ec gun, I'd recommend a luger.
Luger? Can someone explain to me whats so good about this gun? Looking at the stats, its pretty crappy to me.
Katana is overrated in my opinion. You have taser. Katana isn't really neccesary at this point unless you plan on selling your taser in the near future. Ak74u is a very versatile gun. You can use it for basing as well. Or atleast that's what I think. Others might disagree. Even though you didn't say this, a 50ec staff is also a good option. I was saving for one but got too lazy and bought Rocket Punch. Lol it is actually pretty good. Goodluck choosing!

Depends on what situation are you at, example you don't have any decent guns, and you got so many good melees, buy AK74u SD,
Katana on the other hand, it is pretty hand if your on the streaker/baser status, it is a good melee when you already have decent gun such as M4, PBP Shotgun, etc.
Honestly you should to getting ak74 uSD,that's also very good for pk and kills and katana had same stats than Kiwi,Tazer,saber etc.
Get ak74 uSD.
