This is it...
Well... This day always comes in a pet owner's life. Last night, my dog- my best friend, had a heart attack and died. I still can't believe he's gone. His name was Roy. Roy watched me grow up, he helped me through rough times and he was there for all of the good ones. A dog like that only comes once in a lifetime. And what did I do in return for him always being there for me? I played Era.... Why... Why would I play a stupid game like this that wasn't even fun to me anymore rather than go outside and walk, play fetch, or pet Roy? 2048 hours of my life, wasted... I can officially say that this is it for me. I'm going to appreciate life a little more now. Because once something is gone, you can't get it back.
Me and my mother were sitting there just petting him. And once you would stop petting him, he would get up and walk over to you so you had to pet him some more. So we were petting him. And I stopped and he got up. As soon as he did, he fell over and hit his head on the chair. His legs straightened out and he started huffing. My mom jumped onto the floor and tried calling him down and I hopped down and looked at his face..... I watched his eyes turn grey... I knew he was gone. My mom was still on the floor telling him "it's okay buddy, it's okay" but it wasn't. My mouth was hanging open the entire time. It was all happening so fast. All of a sudden it was all quiet. I will sincerely miss him, my condolences to you and your family. Hopefully we can still have those Skype calls, even if we aren't playing Era, it won't be the same without your dog though.

My dog is 11 years old right now, and won't live that long anymore too..
It's always sad seeing someone go.

If I were you I would go to the pet store and get a dog just like him/her.

Kuujoe, my great condolence for the loss of your dog. But know this: it wasn't your fault that it died. I know that you may regret not spending more time with it, but some deaths cannot be prevented. They are sudden like a lightning bolt in a rainstorm. Just know that the dog is somewhere else, still watching over you... In a place far better than Earth in eternal happiness.

I'm sorry for your loss. A pet is part of your family, close to being an actual sibling. I have no idea what I'm going to do when I lose my cat, he can be a pain, but I love him.
Be happy that you both were lucky enough to have eachother. Always remember the good times.

I know this feeling...and much worse. :(
You'll move on though. But you'll tear up here and there thinking bout the animal.

Thanks for all of your condolences. My custom in-game was modeled after him... But yeah. It's a process to recover from. If my temper seems a little bipolar I hope you'll understand. Me and my family buried him out at our grandparents house. That was his favorite place to be. And now he'll always be there. My dad sat by his grave for hours... They were close. But the era-go community was always better and more understanding than the actual game. Why? How the hell should I know. But this really helped. Thank you all so much again. Just remember to treasure life. It's a precious thing.
