Resurrecting izone

Ok so before you staff get all salty about the fact im not supposed to be here. Just please hear me out. Only reason why i am here is to ask for staff input from all servers about graalians idea to overhaul zone. No we are not talking ideas to improve the game. We are talking everything, from how the staff team is organized to how the game plays. Izone is nearing its death again as its player base is on a massive decline. We want to stop that from happening.

What our path of izone is
We plan on making it a 100% warfare server, smaller gmap, our main focus is going to be on combat. Gangs are going to probably be removed and replaced with 2 warring factions. We want to create something entirely different from any graal server.


How our new staff will work.
The staff of izone has always been terrible. Higher ups do next to nothing especially now. our idea is to make the staff extremely smal group of people who we vote inl. Everything else is made by anyone. You want quests? Get a group of people and make a quest, you want guns? Make a group of people to use guns. Hats? Get a group of players to make hats. Staffs only real job will be to test, edit, and copypaste data into the game.

Thats our general idea, if anyone has any input i would say to put it in the linked thread. We are mainly looking for devolopers input and managers input. Thats all.

Or maybe no one likes the futuristic theme that has been overdone

Graal iZone is far too boring in my opinion.

So zone is graal set in the future but you don't want it anything like any other server? What's the player count 100-200 players? Maybe shut it down for a few months and then do a major overhaul bring in new management and staff that no one knows and have them follow the rules to the T. Or just leave it down and use the sever to speed up era or classic if possible.

So a player run server?

It has plenty of potential although the difference between izone and iera was not that much of a change.
The ios app that will be different from others will be delteria imo though.


Classic: original
Era-Huge change from classic
iZone & Ol'west- They are seen as reskins of iera by the community
iDelteria: Huge leap from both classic and era

The three main graal servers imo will be delteria,era and classic.

I actually quite enjoyed Zone until they completely changed the map and nerfed scrap metal picking. It all went downhill from there in my opinion.

They also nerfed the ap rippers majorly
I bought that gun with my rl money, wow.

I was just giving my opinion and wish them the best of luck but losing two thirds of your player base is going to be tough to come back from expecially being a couple year old game.

It's a bit funny how PW Zone nearly died quite a few times around 2008-2010. That was until the "final" blow came around and left the server empty for good, R.I.P

I only hope that your wish will somehow be granted, one day that is.

Anyways, Zone was a great game until a few nerfs were implemented.
I still dislike the spar system zone has because it doesn't require skills at all when you can do is spam your OP guns at people.

Well since someone posted a thread here, can i get feedback on what should be fixed and changed around?
like does not matter but just say what should we do, as in a team.

Buff the scrap metal back to what it was.
Bring the old map back, OR make a new one where it is all connected like the old one.

Comparing my experience there to iEra haha

The idea of two warring faction oils my engines.
You could do something like:

Have different planets (small to medium gmaps) as PvP zones that players compete for. The faction that controls at least 51% of the game's territory gets passive bonuses (e.g. extra money from jobs, or extra tokens from PvP activities) or something like access to special vendors. Every so often there will be a territory reset (cue alien invasion: enemy mobs that the players have to kill before the territory is able to be captured again), this maintains a level playing field (assuming that there are an even number of players on both sides). In the event that the factions are lop-sided and one is dominating the other through sheer numbers you could implement a passive buff to level the playing field for the minority faction.

Killing alien mobs grants special currency that you can redeem for special items.
The "start" area is a neutral area run by a third party (entirely NPCs of course), each faction has a home ship which like a start area - filled with their personal vendors and all that stuff.

Also no classes. The combat system would ideally mirror Era's.

Classes could work kinda, could work it so your class revolves around whatever weapon type you're using.

Classes would work, they would need to be well balance with a limit of what gun each class can do.
So far Medic seems over powered based on what people use on iZone.
But other then that, sounds like a good idea.

Zone's levels as well as their tileset would have to be completely reworked, they are not appealing at all.
That's what I would do before you focus on gameplay.
Too many underestimate the visual aspect of a game.

Am i really a bad person in game anero?
Have you tried talking to me?
I tried talking to you and you said,"Message my Email."
I got picture proof of you even giving me your email.
Good staffs don't break rules and leak content even if high staff or not.
just wait for it to open up anero.

Clears to now how you feel just because i am a staff on that server,
I might hate you, but even in a time of need i'm willing to help.
also yes i've done some stupid **** lol.
But at least i'm spending my time to help others then my self.

I don't bully people. I complain only. they might seem like insults and i'm sorry for it,
but i don't insult people and really you are the one causing a problem, so learn how not to be
over your head and help iEra, not blacklist people who you want to and abuse your rights for stupid reason and stupid post on era-go.

All I did was telling you my honest opinion. I don't like the levels they do/have.
That's not disrespectful. You wanted to know how you could improve your server, right?

Make it look better.

Constructive criticism is constructive criticism, Like it or not, Anero gave some strong cc.
Now it's up to you if you want to take it and respect his opinion or be mad at something you guys asked for.

Ruinning a server like that will not get you anywhere at all, the excitement for the new guns and hats will be gone because players now have the ability to leak stuff to anyone. You guys are basically saying "We are going to stop doing anything and make the players do everything, we just do the copy,paste and editing."
Now, That's not very good thinking. If you want to make your server grow, think bigger. Innovate, change, plan, do it.
Bring back dropping on your server, make jetpacks being able to land on the building outer tiles again, change those eye breaking tiles.

I remember doing car missions (Era) and got called a noob after being shot and killed at point blank with a PBP lol, I killed that guy back and he raged at me for ending his streaks
