the reason trade tables are in a public place and not in house is because they dont want people reporting saying he ripped me off. they are in public place so almost always someones there to say bad deal or good

Even if they are being used, someone could easily disconnect accidentally (or purposely) as well as get kicked from the house, making it another way to scam.
