I do believe episode 8 has been finished filming for a bit.
Wookiepedia has it in post production so yeah its done filming.
As for 9 they could just blow up wereever she was at first thing.

I am sure star wars will still be ok just as need for speed was. I think because people have so much compassion for those who have died it will make the movie sales go up.
