How much has the game changed since 2014?

Greetings lads, I've quitted Era in early 2014 and it's been hell of a long time since I've logged on for more than 30 minutes haha.

If anyone's down I'm looking for a subjective opinion on how the game has changed and whatnot.

If I'm being honest, I'm kind of... disappointed. I don't see much change in the game, the update section in Era now is quite depressing, but maybe I'm wrong?

Have the admins changed much? Gameplay? Trading? Guns? Is BAR still the most expensive gun? Melees? Events?

Massive weapons nerf basically made some guns obsolete (aka BitzSam went to BBZ and tried to PK DarkSide).

The game in itself never really does anything interesting.

The only new thing there has been is killing people will a noob knife for hats and basically Crypt all year.

Pretty much everything you asked about has changed drastically since 2014.

Let's see..

-All guns *rebalanced* nerfed
-Multiplex
-Mostly all bases got a revamp (added box factory zone)
-New profile layout and misc
-Chemical gun is banned from spar and base
-Event shop updated
-Few new locations added.. such as arte,italy and updated docks etc
-New staff members and manager.

I think that's pretty much all?

After St. Patty's Day in 2017, no one's really seen him around.

My best guess was that they unthroned him while he was out because he was having personal issues.

Development started gradually getting a bit better in-game while he was out, so they probably went in that direction.

And now we're here.

There's these items called 'exotic items' and it requires a rare Exotic coin and 100k or 200k gralats to buy.
A few exotic coins are given in the presents at Christmas time and they go for like 100-200k shells.....
So in total, people drop a minimum of 500k gralats (Shells + cost) on them.

Melees? Got marginally better.

Events? Less hosted. Still got the EC hoarders.

I agree with the melee usage.

I find myself wanting to use melees more often in close combat than guns honestly.

Bulletzone basically got it all on point.

Right now I think trading is much more fun than basing/pking/sparring. It’s just boring when I do the same thing everyday, trading can be lil boring but at least we got some drama happening sometimes
