The attachment itself is good but the price is a bit high. For that you could just save for something better.
The goal of the M4's attachment varies, depending on your perspective. The tri-bullet feature increases your chances of earning a few kills, in PK; it also may help you at the Spar Complex, if bullet accuracy is something that is worrisome, to you.
If you have the money i'd say get it! Its really fun to mess around with and personally the m4 is my favorite gun.
For me, M4's normal mode is good enough. Like someone said above, the attachment itsself is good but the price is kinda high

No, you should buy the AA-12 or PBP instead if youre looking for a multishot gun, the M4 attachment is a bit too slow. The attachment doesn't have much practical use besides suprising someone for an extra hit if they don't know you have it, but instances like that wont happen often.
I would say it IS useful in some situations when you want to spam distantly or if you need to last hit your enemy. However, as said above, this rarely happens.
