Graphic Headquarters March Competition!

Calling all pixel artists!

Now is your chance to put some of your amazing Hats inside the graphics headquarters!
Make your own Hat design, and submit them to get a reward!

Your Theme is: Spring / Flower
You may do either of the themes or a combination of them both to look extra cool! (No bonus though sadly)

Send your hats to: [email protected] , with the subject "Graphic Headquarters March".
Make sure you include your Graal ID (Ex.Graal1234567) inside the email otherwise we won't be able to find you!

Rules & Information:
1. You can send up to 4 Hats. (No Recolors)
2. Everything must be made from scratch. Edits, Copyright, or Stolen Graphics are NOT allowed! Every other submissions will be disqualified, once an edited/stolen/copyright graphic is submitted.
3. If your submission gets picked, you will receive 1EC + the hat you made.


DEADLINE: March 15th (Sunday) 23:59 PST

FAQ:
Q. Are gifs allowed?
A. Yes, you are allowed to submit animated gif hats.

Q. Are the hats strictly hats? Or are gas masks allowed too?
A. It won't protect from gas, but gas masks are allowed

Q. can 2 ppl get the prize if 2 ppl work on the hats?
A. If 2 people work on 1 hat, only one of them will get the reward.

Q. Are .mng files allowed?
A. Yes, mng file’s are allowed.

Q. how many submissions will be picked
A. There are no specific amount we will be picking, so there might be 10 or 20 or even more.

Can we do a recolor of our own hat? For example, if I did a blue hat for this competition can I make a pink version of the same hat??

I know I saw that. But I’m asking if we can do our OWN hat that WE made for this competition but a different color version which will equal 2 total hats submitting. I hope I made a little more sense lol. Please someone give me a specific answer, thanks and have a good day :))

You can't submit recolors even if it's your own design. If you've submit several recolors, only one of them will be chosen.

If I submit hats related to fashion (bucket hats, bandanas, straw hats), would they be counted towards the spring theme? Or would I have to incorporate flowers in them for it to count ?

is BEE related to Spring and Flowers?

It would probably depend on how you make them (should look like something that's related to the themes SPRING or FLOWER). For example, if you make a bucket hat, it should have colors/elements that appear within the themes. So technically you can make hats related to fashion as long as they are somewhat tied to the themes or look like something that makes sense for a chosen theme. (ex. a BANDANA made of GRASS or a BUCKET HAT with a sun in the corner shining with a bright blue sky for it's design) These are just a few examples.

IMO Aseprite is a good paid option, GIMP is a good free option. Either way, you probably should have posted this in another section.
