Body Indexing and Uploading problem

When you edit a body and index it so it can change colors does the the outline color have to completely surround the body?
I keep getting an error that I haven't set the transparency, but I hit the set transparency button and I make sure the part of the image outside the bodies is all the same color. What I was wondering was that if the outline color didnt completely surround the body portion would that cause the system to tell me there is a problem with the transparency?
