Round 2 of advice for the Newsapaper Team
Ever since my last suggestion for the newspaper team here:https://www.era-go.com/forum/showthr...er-suggestions some 460 days ago, I am glad there appears to be some - if ever so subtly - changes to the current newspaper.
In view of this, allow me to give a few more (very much repeated) advice that I felt has fallen on deaf ears.
1, Gang Hours.
I appreciate the effort to try to add a bit more of a content to this section, but nonetheless most of the added content in the section are of no value.
In my previous thread regarding this, I have mentioned it. And I shall mention it again, maybe elaborating on it more than I previously did. Imagine yourself as a member/leader of a gang reading the news - the news team should constantly ask themselves the question: What does a reader concerned with matters relating to gang (or more specifically basing) want to know from reading the news?
If you want to know more about what I'm referring to, I invite you to read this section in the latest version of the news (239th edition as of this post).
News team could do a few things
1. interview members/leaders of top gangs, ask them how they did it or their strategies, their systems, their stories. Of how they managed to become number 1/2/3.
2.Go to their bases, take a picture, describe their gang and observe them - how they work as a team in a gunfight, how they protect their base...
These are what we as readers (who are concerned about gang matters) want to know - that's what's VALUABLE. Imagine if I were a basing gang leader, would I care about the number 3rd place falling to the number 4th place if number 3rd place slows down? Or would I be interested in knowing
how the top gangs did it, and how I could implement adopt their ways to make my basing gangs more successful?
2. Other than gangs scores, do spar scores, MPX , PK as well.
Expand your scope. Report on gang scores, interview top PKers to let them share their ways, their places for PK, interview traders, people who dig shells, sparrers, MPX players. There are so many untold stories! These untold stories could have helped so many players.
If I were a sparrer, I would be interested to know how other sparrers trained. If I were a person getting tired of digging, I would be interested to know how to dig more efficiently.
And how do we find out? Interview the people who are good at it. There's lists of top sparrers, top spar gangs , highest PK etc. Use them as your resource for getting stories, and then TELL THOSE STORIES.
