BAR is overtuned, should be balanced.

Ever since the weapon damage buff changes Era has become a much more fast paced game in terms of gunplay. While the original goal of this was to balance spammy guns and allow more skill, the results have been quite the opposite. The BAR is a perfect example of a gun that is too overtuned as a result of these changes. Not only does it have a faster fire rate which automatically makes it better than most guns, it has above average freeze, good spread, and high damage. While most other guns excel in one area (shipka with reload speed and firerate), the BAR is too strong in TOO MANY areas, making it unhealthy for the game.

That brings us to today's subject, finding ways to compensate and tweak the BAR so that it still remains powerful without taking too much away, resulting in a much more skill expressive, balanced, and healthy game.

One suggestion would be to slightly touch on the freeze rate of the bar, raising it slightly to balance it's high rate of fire.

Conversely , the fire rate could be slightly lowered while also lowering it's freeze which would allow for more fluid moment but less spam.

Another option could be leaving the freeze and rate of fire as they are, but creating a more vulnerable window of opportunity by adjusting the bullet capacity and reload timing of the BAR. By increasing the reload timing of the BAR, it allows for longer trade windows. To make up for this, it's ammo capacity can be raised to allow BAR users to also stay in the fight longer.

Didnt read the whole thing but I agree, the bar should be balanced. Its 200k gralats, no matter how much you buff it, it still not that balanced. Should atleast make the freeze less or the reload faster...

It shouldnt be buffed it only takes 4 shots to kill someone with a decently fast firerate and mobility its vastly more superior than every other gun in the game.

Well Mean, it felt like you understood that the guy's post is talking about buff BAR even more, when that's clearly not the case.

And also, don't expect BitzSam to read this, he's another case of busy admin that should be fired for doing nothing useful and be replaced.

I agree that BAR is strong at many different areas, but its not the best... In my opinion, its balanced for its price since BAR is the most expensive gun in era. I played with BAR in spar and I want to say that the fire-rate isnt that high and skilled player can easily dodge its bullets. Damage is just the same as m107, psg-1 and few other weapons. BAR is a good choice when you need 1 strong weapon, however, there are many other weapons which are better at their own areas of usage.

It should fire explosive bullets.

Bar is balanced, yes it kills in four shots but the only time you’re really losing to it is if you rush someone spamming a wall of bullets at you in which case it’s just you being a bad sparrer/pker.

BAR irl shoots 308. ammo and its automatic, so they should increase the freeze cause its supposed to be a beast of a weapn, and maybe the reload speed a little. Era was never realistic so im probably just rambling.

The firerate wasn't buffed as part of the rebalancing. The only changes faced by the majority of guns were damage related aside from those that were already too high damaging which got minor stat readjustments instead.

Yea it's strong, but it's the most expensive gun. Not much else can really be tweaked without making it worse compared to the other guns around it. Its base stats are already pretty sub-par aside from firerate which is at an average level (same as m4).
