I took a really really long break from end of Summer 2011 and came back again in the beginning of Summer 2012. So I never heard of this event, and I believe it was taken out of circulation around the time of my arrival.

Mlkshake hosted milk race recently like last year around November, but he basically puts milk crates and you just follow the trail.. whoever grab the most milk crates wins lol
