The truth is since the player count grew and basing is the most popular activity on the game, even 3 bases isn't enough. Sadly not many of our devs base on daily basis to understand the feel of it, but those who do will confirm that the lack of bases leads to same gangs camping in the same bases, never attampting to step out of their "claimed" territory afraid to make a mistake. In the old days no gangs needed to make peace treaties with one another or recruit 40 people to hold 1 base. If you're asking why, the answer is simple. The player count and the number of bases was well-balanced. Right now it's impossible for new gangs to achieve anything at all with all the big gangs sitting in the bases they claimed. The only example of a new gang that you can see on the map these days is Catalyst but then if we look back a few months we'll remember that if GPN didn't quit, Catalyst would probably not exist with much success. If you look even farther back, if iFreeze didn't quit what would be GPN's current score? All of these points just prove that we need much much more bases than we have right now.

This ^^^^. Lethal changes basically killed all new gangs sense of hope. I hope in country side there is a small base like the old lethal where everyone would have a chance to take. Not just the gangs that have 15 psg-1s and p2ks while the entire sub has BAR. At that point it just isn't fair for the small gangs.
