Does mining actually increase mining speed?

I have mined and i compared my mining to a friend about 3 levels lower and he mines the exact same speed as me but i don't see a difference

maybe ya not starting at the sametime but move higher level you go more faster it is

Yes, once you get to higher levels, the speed will start to become noticeable when mining with others. If you timed yourself at level 0 and now at level 3 there would be a small difference of speed, not really noticeable unless timed.

I dont remember excactly but i think your mining speed goes up by 0.3 seconds per level. So level 0 is 30 seconds and level 3 is 29.1 seconds.
