I've got a old Iphone 5 laying around i might just make a nub account and plug it into the wall and AFK forever on a trampoline and in about 7 months time ruin era's economy with tradeable ec items... *Insert evil laugh*

1 iPhone 5 is not old, just because iphone 6 came out it doesn't mean that it's old.
2 you don't ruin any economy, right now the new trade ec items cost let's say around 5-10k shells? well when the is a lot of the new items then the price will go down, so no you're not ruining anything, you're helping them out

A trampoline is basically those bouncy black surface with blue soft ring surrounding it with 4 leg stand.
You bounce on it, that's all.

afk for seven months=630 ec lol

1 month=30 days.

30x7=210 days (days in 7 months)

3 free ecs are given per day; thus, 210x3, right? and that equates to 630 event coins.

Seems like your math is a bit too optimistic and SashaGryg's is about in the right ballpark.
On the plus side, AJ, you did prove that you're not an AFKer.
Currently, free EC are given out at a rate of 2-3 per week, not per day. This does not count FB uploads since an AFKer isn't usually on to get those.
2-3 per week times 52 weeks = 104-154 EC in a year. In 7 months that would be 56 to 84 EC. With occasional FB uploads an AFKer could raise the total to 100 in 7 months.
This excludes summer months - which seem to have a higher rate of freebies given. I suspect this is because the EC are being used to entice new players to stick with the game and summer seems to be the peak recruiting month for new players. This is the main reason why EC are given out freely. The longer those new players play the more likely they are to spend the real $ that keep the game alive for those that no longer spend any real $. Giving out the EC entices them to play longer.

Like most people say ec if for doing events. They are an accomplishment for winning. And also how will people between 100-200 hours do this in a hours time?
It won't be fair to new and old players alike
