I'm not talking about buying with shells and it getting traded to me. People I know have Water staff and Nobe staff and they were willing to trade, but can't.

Some items are special for the character to keep. Other items are able to be used in life and passed around. Example, a tazer is used as a cop, but it's given to cops irl.
