It's not eay to explain this, but it's all based on things you see. The same reason people can "iFile" customs. Era starts out with only the coding used to access the server (and the app's icon, if you wanna count that). The initial code is a small file, doesn't take up space. However, each time you see a new melee, head, body, gun, special type of ammo, new piece of furniture, shield, new tile, etc., your device must download the image file. It's more efficient on Android, allowing you to choose whether or not you cache the files, while iOS simply chaches everything. There are upsides and downsides to file caching. Era runs a bit slower while it's trying to download all the new images it sees (Mainly when a new player starts up the app for the first time and/or when you redownload the app), but the files get numerous and take up a lot of space when your device has cached a lot of files. Every once in a while, you should delete and redownload on iOS, it clears up space.

    Only works for Mac users.
Syncing iOS devices to Macs don't really go well with downloading apps.
Since they don't support most iOS games/apps to be installed from PC to Device. Hence, there's not much difference in doing that as you'll end up taking more MB/GB in the end.
