very good idea. i also think that we have too many players now so we need more events, are not we? so there can be board on which you can see when does next event will host and sets of 5 events will host like every 8 hours. then all time zones will be able to play events and you will know when next event so you will not wait like 3 hours and then go offline and in this moment admins start hosting.

Having a timezone for when next event will be hosted is dumb.
The one hosting will probably not be on time or has something else in life to deal with.
Auctions are different as quite a lot of staff can host it. So there isn't a problem for the timezone issue.
