Basing isn't supposed to favor the attacker, defenders should obviously have the advantage.

Because on Classic you can see Basing favors the defenders, which it should. Don't you think defenders should be rewarded for holding a base? No adays most of the bases favor the attackers, who just need to rush. Attacks should need to be planned out and have enough members to attack, for example on classic goodluck taking a tower with no strategy, at least in the old days you couldn't.
