Well keep in mind the specs.Idk much about Samsung but I do know iPads. If you want something portable and small, go for the iPod. Its A5 chip is a bit dated, but can run some games very well (including Era). But if you want a iPad and something thats at least a bit portable, get the iPad Mini 2(not 3, its same as 2 just have Touch ID and $100 more). Its rocking the A7 chip, and its light. It runs all games fast and is very convient for travel. Just have a slim bag to put it in. Hope this helps.

Currently between iPod 5gen and the iPad Air, not too sure about Samsungs as they don't come in small sizes like the iPods do ;(

IPod 5 Since it's portable and you don't require such a huge screen, although if an iPhone could be added to the list I would recommend that.

I'll probably get an iPod 5, since I had an iPod 4 and that worked quite well. Mom had an iPad and it seems too bulky and annoying to carry around.
