You might have seen it wrongly if you received 46 coins from 1 freebie,because that isn't possible.
May i know what game you were playing in the arcade when this happened?

Well no I got many freebies for the coins.
And I think I played flappy snk v2

I don't think most players face this issue.
If you are very sure it is a bug.

Arcade coins are depleted when you grab the machine so if there's something called a dummy machine with no scripted game, the machine is only scripted to eat away one coin per grab.

When you play zany arcade games: once you've grsbbed the machine, you've paid, even before tapping the "tap to start."

So, basically the image that I would have in my head would be you playing the game once, then re grabbing the machine. However not long ago there was a bug with Flappy SNK v2. And I'm sad to say this but because of your encountered problem with 46 coins, I must say you're an impatient player.

To fix this at that period of time, all you had to do was exit the second floor and re enter, where the game loads immediately on your screen upon walking in.(one game only).

However, that bug with flappy SNK v2 is now fixed and that issue has been resolved.

No, a coin is inserted upon grabbing the machine, so do not "double grab"/"pull" a machine. Because you end up paying twice the amount for one game. If you have grabbed a machine and decide not the play the game by clicking close, you will just have lost that coin that you've psid upon grabbing
